With Irving and Plano, DART's largest member cities, now saying they’ll reconsider holding withdrawal elections, it’s not clear what happens next. But Irving officials said in a press release they’ll discuss the election at their next city council meeting.

Regional Transportation Council Director Michael Morris called it a "great day" for North Texas.

Dallas could soon install new electric vehicle charging stations at libraries, recreation centers, and other public facilities after regional officials recommended funding for 10 city-owned sites as part of a federally backed infrastructure program.

The council passed a resolution this week reiterating opposition to above-ground passenger rail in parts of Dallas and adding another area of West Dallas to the list.
