Aaron Dean was convicted of manslaughter in Atatiana Jefferson’s fatal shooting in her Fort Worth home. He was sentenced to nearly 12 years in prison.

Former Fort Worth police officer Aaron Dean asked for a review of his case last month after his manslaughter conviction was upheld earlier this year.

Aaron Dean was convicted of shooting and killing Atatiana Jefferson through her bedroom window in 2019. In February, an appeals court upheld his manslaughter conviction.

The Texas 2nd Court of Appeals denied Dean's appeal.
