Duncanville City Council members are recommending the closure of five of the city’s 11 Election Day polling locations, citing low use.

The Utilities Blitz event provides eligible DeSoto residents financial assistance to pay off utility bills, including water, electricity and gas.

The all-abilities park, the first in the city, features wheelchair accessible equipment, a lighted path, and a playground with words in Spanish and Braille.

DeSoto is considering adopting a four-day week, saying it would help the city better attract and retain employees.
