From The Newsroom: Immigrant Kids Arrive In Ellis County; The Latest Hall Arts Collection

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: The first of 500 Central American immigrant kids just began arriving Friday at the campground in North Texas where they’ll stay for the next three weeks. 

KERA's Stella Chavez spent the afternoon in Ellis County to speak with people who live there about their new neighbors. 

The newest gallery in the Dallas Arts District opened two months ago. It’s easy to miss, though. Most of its big outdoor artworks are tucked along a walkway next to the district’s newest office tower, Hall Arts.

And on Sunday, thousands of long-distance runners will throng the streets for the Dallas Marathon. This year, they’ll have some new spectators: psychologists.
