The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Over the weekend, Dallas officials released the latest rendering for the controversial Trinity Parkway. A Dallas City Council committee got an update this afternoon.

These days, oil prices seem to go nowhere but down. In Texas, drivers are paying less than $2 bucks a gallon at the pump on average. So what do low gas prices mean for consumers, and for this oil-producing state’s economy?

And, workers are putting the finishing touches on a new playground in Vickery Meadow. The Dallas neighborhood is home to many new immigrant and refugee families. To the children there, a playground is much more than just a playground.
