The day after the police shootings, hundreds gathered for a prayer service at Thanksgiving Square.

Police officers across Texas will flash their red and blue patrol lights this morning in memory of the Dallas officers who died in an ambush last year.

No one expected for a peaceful downtown rally, where people were protesting police brutality, to turn deadly. The following 24 hours were dramatic, but in tragedy, the city united.

St. Paul United Methodist Church is just a few blocks from where the shooting occurred. In the aftermath of the attack, St. Paul pastor Richie Butler launched A Year of Unity to build community after the tragedy.
