Officials from the U.S. Department of Education officials are wrapping up a week in Texas. They’ve been talking to parents and educators after an investigation by The Houston Chronicle found the state capped special education enrollment at 8.5 percent. The national average is 13 percent.
Dallas ISD expects to complete an independent review of its special education program in February.
