The Dallas City Council today will vote whether to appoint T.C. Broadnax as the next city manager. Broadnax has been the city manager for Tacoma, Washington since 2012. Prior to that, he was San Antonio’s Assistant City Manager for five years.
Among the issues the next city manager will have to face includes hiring a new police chief, and saving the troubled Police and Fire Pension fund from insolvency.
The city council faces a tight deadline. Current city manager A.C. Gonzalez retires next month.
