The top local stories this afternoon from KERA News: While high school football teams across North Texas get set to kick off a new season Friday night, one district is waiting to play until Saturday morning. 

The city of Frisco is opening a new stadium The Star. They’re celebrating by having an all-day football marathon.

  • ‘The Taming’ is the title of a political comedy at Circle Theatre that includes both today’s partisan gridlock and the Constitutional Convention of 1787. It does all this with three women playing all the roles, including a very sassy George Washington.
