Grand Prairie voters headed to the polls to decide whether to grant the city up to $327 million in bond funding for local projects. As of Sunday morning, all proposals appear to have been approved, although margins vary.

Al Zapanta, current city council member for District 6, received more than 67% of the vote in the race for mayor, unofficial reports showed.

Municipal elections take place Saturday, May 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A cohort of students in the cities of Hurst, Euless and Bedford just wrapped up an immersive program guiding them through the nuts and bolts of local government.

Bedford city staff is saying goodbye to Caryn Riggs, assistant city manager and chief financial officer since 2022. As Riggs moves into the private sector, two other experienced local government employees will take over her titles.
