Dallas, TX – A large sink hole near downtown Weatherford has blocked an entire intersection.
Weatherford Police Corporal Wendy Field says officials believe a water main beneath Highway 180 at Santa Fe Drive broke overnight. And the underground gush of water created the sinkhole.
Field: It extends from the southwest corner of the intersection to the northwest corner. It's about 10 feet deep at its deepest point.
Corporal Field says repair crews have been on the scene since the first 9-1-1 call about two this morning. She says it's going to take a long time to repair this giant pothole.
