After northerly winds gave an extra chill to the cold that gripped North Texas on Tuesday, the region is in for quite a weather grab-bag the rest of the week: an alternating mix of freezing temperatures, sweet sunshine and drizzly rain.
Tuesday
Tuesday's highs didn't leave the 30s, with Tuesday night is expected to reach down close to record lows across North and Central Texas, according to the National Weather Service. Light winds will make wind chill temps closely match the actual, freezing temperature.

Wednesday–Saturday
Expect sunshine throughout most of the rest of the week, even though widespread freezes will still kick off the day Wednesday and Thursday.
• Wednesday's highs will reach into the 40s.
• Thursday's highs will be in the 50s.
• Friday and Saturday will get back up to a more seasonally average high in the 60s.
Sunday–Monday
Sunday's cold front isn't expected to be as cold as what North Texas experienced earlier in the week. High temperatures will remain well above freezing, with highs reaching the 40s and 50s.
There might be light rain, but don't expect winter precipitation like other areas of Texas are experiencing:

After highs of 40s on Sunday, temperatures in North Texas will rise into the 50s on Monday, Nov. 19.
