The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Today's the day to vote in the state primary elections. Voters will determine party nominees for the midterm contests in November.

Check out our voter guide here and preview some of the races we're watching, including a Republican primary race for a Texas Board of Education seat in North Texas.

Before heading to your nearest polling place, make sure you have everything you need to cast your ballot. Polls close at 7 p.m.
