Groups like the Texas Association of Business and Visit Dallas will speak out against the so-called bathroom bill this morning at the state capitol.
The legislation would require transgender people to use public restrooms according to the sex listed on their birth certificate. The bill didn’t pass in the regular legislative session, but it’s on the call for the special session, which begins tomorrow.
Tech company IBM is also ramping up its efforts. Along with taking out full page ads in state newspapers, they’re also flying in employees from across the state to meet face-to- face with lawmakers this week.
