Top Stories: HUD Secretary Ben Carson In North Texas; Events At The Nasher

HUD Secretary Ben Carson met the media briefly Wednesday after touring the Hunter Plaza Apartments in downtown Fort Worth.

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The U.S. Housing and Urban Development secretary is in North Texas.Ben Carson is on a multi-city listening tour to hear from people who rely on public housing.

It comes as his department has been targeted for massive budget cuts by President Trump, yet Carson downplayed the cuts yesterday in Fort Worth.

He’ll continue his listening tour today in Fort Worth and tomorrow in Dallas.
