The National Weather Service confirms at least two tornadoes struck North Texas overnight. One tornado hit North Fort Worth – it moved into Keller and Southlake in Tarrant County. It was an EF-0, the lowest level on the tornado damage scale.

- The North Texas theater community is mourning the death of Rene Moreno, a director and actor who worked with just about every company in town. As KERA’s Jessica Diaz-Hurtado reports, he will be remembered for his pioneering role for people with disabilities.
- An estimated 450 million people worldwide suffer from a mental illness. In wealthy nations, only about half of those cases are effectively treated. In the developing world, 90 percent aren’t treated at all. Today on Think, Krys Boyd talked with psychiatrist Dr. Vikram Patel, he says mental illness is the leading cause of physical disability.
- Why does it take so long for anything to get done at the Capitol? Matt Largey from KUT in Austin reports that pace is all by design. Things are relatively quiet for the first couple months of the session – but the tempo has picked up.
