Tent City's population has nearly quadrupled in the last six months.

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The Dallas City Council today will discuss plans to shut down a homeless encampment known as Tent City.

City leaders want the settlement shut down by early May. About 300 people live in Tent City, and it spans about four blocks under a stretch of I-45 near downtown.
