The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The Dallas City Council has a decision to make today – overturn its recent ban on a sex expo from coming to town, or face a lawsuit.

According to the Dallas Morning News, an attorney for Exxxotica sent a letter to the city attorney yesterday, saying his client won’t sue if the council today begins the process of overturning the ban.

  • Two Republican presidential candidates plan to hold rallies Friday in North Texas. Billionaire businessman Donald Trump, coming off his first place finish in the Nevada caucus, will be at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who finished second in Nevada, will be holding his own rally at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas.
  • For the first time, research is showing that electromagnetic fields from things like cellphone towers and power lines can amplify pain in people.
