From The Newsroom: A Texan Will Take Over Paul Ryan's Old Post

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: The full U.S. House of Representatives today will ratify a vote to name Houston-area congressman Kevin Brady as the chair of the powerful Ways and Means Committee.

House Speaker Paul Ryan previously chaired that committee. Brady’s the seventh Texas Republican to chair a House committee. Texas accounts for a third of the chairmen of permanent committees.
