From The Newsroom: A Parkway Vs. Flood Control; Mental Health Care In Rural Texas

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: Dallas city council members will vote today on whether to divert more than $36 million from the Trinity Parkway project to flood control. The proposed nine-mile toll road between the Trinity River levees has been a source of contention for some time.

Also, Fort Worth has named Kent Scribner as the lone finalist for the school superintendent position.

And finally, mental healthcare workers are scarce in rural parts of Texas, but a lawmaker hopes to change to that.
