There are two big events on Greenville Avenue in Dallas Saturday to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day: the annual parade and the big block party on lower Greenville.

Peter Kenny is owner of The Dubliner.  He says Lower Greenville between Vanderbilt andVickerywill be closed for the big block party from 8am to 8pm.

"Expecting a lot of people, maybe 15,000 or plus people who knows, we’ll see on the day," Kenny said in his slight Irish brogue. "But we’ve got the weather for it. So, we’re all excited for the big long party and the parade."

The parade, which starts at 11, is expected to draw more than 100,000 spectators. Dallas Police say barricades will start going up between Park Lane and SMU Boulevard at 8 tomorrow morning. The parade will last a couple of hours, but Greenville will remain closed until 4pm for clean up.

Fort Worth’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities are in the Stockyards from 1 to 4:30. St
