Dallas, TX – Campbell Soup is recalling 7.5 tons of Spaghettios with Meatballs prepared in its Paris Texas plant. That amounts to 35,000 cases.

Spokesperson Anthony Sanzio says the problem involves a cooker that might not have gotten hot enough to kill off harmful bacteria. He says the company believes the risky Spaghettios cans were those most recently off the line.

Sanzio: Well we have no reports of complaints from consumers, no reports of illness and we also have no reports from our customers, our retail grocers.

Sanzio says to be cautious, the recall involves Spaghettios with Meatballs made since December, 2008, up to this month.
