Dallas, TX –

Cities across North Texas are busy recycling Christmas Trees.

In Dallas, Danielle McClelland says the city has five drop-off stations for tree recycling from now to January 15th.

McClelland: Take off all the tinsel, the ornaments, the lights, the nails, the tree stands. Please take off the tree stands. And drop those trees off to us at any of those five locations, and we'll turn them into mulch. And after January first, people can come and get free mulch.

Locations are the landfill; three sanitation transfer stations; and Flagpole Hill.

Fort Worth and Irving offer curbside Christmas tree recycling on regular trash pick-up days.

Arlington residents may take trees to the landfill on Mosier Valley or Calloway's Nursery on South Cooper. No curbside recycling this year because of budget cuts.
