Dallas, TX – Gasoline prices across Texas continue to fall. Triple-A's latest survey shows a gallon of regular unleaded in Texas dropped by nearly 10 cents last week.

Gasoline prices are on a steady downward trend, with 28 straight days of decline.

Triple-A's Dan Ronan says the average price for a gallon of gas in Texas is $3.64.

Ronan: That is significantly lower than the national average for the state. Texas motorists are enjoying a pretty big difference. Nationally, gas prices are $3.78 a gallon, and we're at $3.64 a gallon, so about a 14 cent difference.

Ronan credits the downward slide in gasoline prices to a $32 drop in the price of a barrel of oil since mid-July, and a decrease in demand. Corpus Christi has the cheapest gasoline: average price $3.59 a gallon. El Paso, the most expensive: $3.74. Dallas comes in at $3.61. Fort Worth a penny less.
