Voters on suspense lists who don’t meet the Oct. 5 deadline may still vote in the midterm elections, but they will have to fill out additional paperwork on Election Day to confirm their new addresses.

State Rep. and U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico and Tarrant County Commissioner Alisa Simmons held a press conference Sunday, Aug. 30, criticizing efforts to reduce the number of voting locations.

The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a Mississippi law that allows election officials to count mail-in ballots that are postmarked by Election Day but received up to five days after it.

One voter said his registration was removed three times. Another received a letter saying he might be dead.
