Is George H.W. Bush Voting For Hillary Clinton? According To A Kennedy, He Is

GEORGE BUSH PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM
Both George H.W. and George W. planned to stay quiet in this year's election.

Adding to potentially the most awkward Thanksgiving ever, George H.W. Bush is reportedly voting for Hillary Clinton this November.

Yep, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee and wife of Bush’s 1992 conqueror — Bill.

Sparks surrounding the political news were ignited by a Facebook post. Former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend posted a picture of herself with Bush on Monday and added, "The President told me he's voting for Hillary!!"

Townsend, daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, later confirmed the conversation she had while meeting Bush in Maine to Politico, which shared a screenshot of the Facebook post.

Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath says in a statement that the 92-year-old former president's vote is private, and Bush isn't commenting on the race.

Bush 41 hasn't offered support for GOP nominee Donald Trump nor has he endorsed Hillary Clinton, just to be clear.

Where Do The Other Bushes Stand On The Election?

Jeb!, presumably the Texas Republican dynasty’s first choice, dropped out of the race in February after a contentious primary run against Trump. So, where has that left the family?

In May, McGrath said George H.W., who has enthusiastically endorsed every Republican nominee for the past five election cycles, will stay quiet in this race, the Texas Tribune reports. Like his father, George W. isn’t talking either, but he was on the campaign trail for a bit with Jeb and recently criticized Trump's policies.

Jeb says he isn’t voting for either Trump or Clinton, but his son and Texas Land Commissioner, George P., endorsed Trump in August, which he said was a "bitter pill to swallow." Well, if his grandfather really does vote for Clinton, George P. probably won’t be the only Bush with a bad taste in his mouth.
