From The Newsroom: Vice President Joe Biden Pays Dallas A Visit; What's Next For Fair Park?

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Vice President Joe Biden came to Dallas today to promote investment in transit, roads and rail. He also briefly mentioned ISIS, the attacks in Paris and demands from some politicians to keep Syrian refugees out of the country.

Biden said we already vet incoming refugees adding Americans would stay safe. The only way terror wins, he said, is if they cause us to change our value system.

Mostly, the Vice President praised the privately funded high speed rail proposal – that promises a 90-minute trip between Dallas and Houston. 

Dallas City Council members discussed the future of Fair Park, specifically a proposal to have a non-profit group manage the park.
