From The Newsroom: Saving For College In Kindergarten; Renewable Energy Discussed In Denton

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: On Tuesday, Dallas District Attorney Susan Hawk began delivering on a promise she made during her campaign a year ago. Hawk was in a courtroom, personally prosecuting her first murder case as district attorney.

And Monday night, she held her first town hall meeting since returning to the job October 1. 

In Denton, City Council members on Tuesday night dug into a plan to boost the amount of power the city gets to 70 percent by 2019.
