KERA News

In today's All Things Considered local block from the KERA Newsroom:

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, State Senator Royce West and a number of North Texans traveled to the border city of McAllen Wednesday. In a surprise announcement last weekend, Jenkins said Dallas County would host more than 2,000 of the immigrant children who’ve crossed the border in the last few months.

And fifty years ago, a President from Texas named Lyndon Baines Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law.

You can listen to the segment weekdays at 6:20 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
