The number of immigrants coming to America across the U.S.-Mexico border from other countries besides Mexico has increased 100 percent - to 190,000 - since last October. Tens of thousands of those have been unaccompanied children.

In today's local Morning Edition block from the KERA Newsroom: Doualy Xaykaothao updates us on the increased number of child immigrants in McAllen ahead of a visit by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, who'll visit a detention center where hundreds of children from Central America have been living.
