Top Stories: State Juvenile Justice Workers Arrested For Misconduct

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Authorities have arrested four current or former state juvenile justice employees and the search continues for a fifth worker. Three of those arrested yesterday worked at the juvenile lockup in Gainesville, north of Dallas.

All are accused of criminal misconduct ranging from tampering with government records, theft, and using excessive force.

Other stories this morning:

  • Three Dallas city council members say they’ll donate campaign contributions they received from a company tied to a federal bribery investigation of Dallas County Schools.
  • How are North Texas businesses using the tax savings they’ll get from the new tax overhaul law? A Dallas Morning News business columnist says the law will be a test of trickle-down economics.

You can listen to North Texas stories weekdays at 8:22 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
