Top Stories: Protesters Kneel Outside Cowboys Game; An Effective Shingles Vaccine

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside AT&T Stadium Sunday night to "show solidarity with NFL players who are taking a knee for justice."

Attendees wore all black and took a knee during the anthem at the Tom Landry statue outside the stadium in support of NFL players, like Colin Kaepernick, who have protested by taking a knee during the national anthem.

  • Zostavax, a new vaccine for shingles, has had good results over the last 10 years. Dr. Colton Redding with Methodist Health System says a new FDA-approved vaccine appears to be more effective, and spoke about it with KERA’s Sam Baker.
