The top local stories this evening from KERA News:

Corpus Christi, just inland from where Hurricane Harvey landed last week, got another visit today from the President and the First Lady.

Their motorcade passed twisted trees, knocked-down signs and broken fences on the way to a firehouse for a briefing with Governor Greg Abbott and others. The president pledged to make recovery as smooth as possible.
