Disgruntled by the results from the special legislative session, which wrapped up Wednesday, the Governor and Lt. Governor blame House Speaker Joe Straus for the failure of certain bills. House Republicans held a special behind-closed-doors caucus meeting this morning to discuss how they, as a party, could change how the Speaker is nominated.

  • Christopher Jackson – star of Broadway’s “Hamilton” – visited North Texas recently. Art & Seek’s Hady Mawajdeh talked with the actor, who believes early exposure to the arts expands possibilities not just for him, but for young people in Dallas.

  • When the Dallas Cowboys take the field next month, they'll be without one of their stars. The NFL suspended running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games after a year-long domestic violence investigation. Though law enforcement dropped the case, the NFL determined there is "substantial" evidence that Elliott assaulted his former girlfriend. As KERA‘s Gus Contreras reports, the NFL is making an example out of one its best players.
