Kids are dropping out of school as early as middle school. A new report found 8 percent of Texas dropouts in the 2014-15 school year were in the seventh or eighth grades.
The problem is prevalent in Fort Worth. Of the 826 kids who dropped out in the recent school year, 125 of them -- or about 15 percent – were in 7th or 8th grade.

Though the majority-Latino neighborhood is still there, development and tougher city housing standards mean 300 families are losing their low-cost rental homes on June 3.
