Top Stories: Recount Scheduled Today For North Texas Legislative Race

A recount for a North Texas legislative race begins today. Democratic challenger Terry Meza requested the recount in her race against Republican incumbent Rodney Anderson for the House District 105 seat. She trailed Anderson by just 64 votes.

  • Though the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s still on strike, members of its union played a holiday concert last night at the Will Rogers auditorium.
  • Osteoporosis is usually thought of as an older woman’s disease, but men can also develop the bone-thinning disease.
  • Alumni of the Dallas-based St. Marks School of Texas have raised $45,000 so far for the International Rescue Committee. The fundraiser was in response to a video surfacing last week of white nationalist and St. Marks graduate Richard Spencer embracing Nazi language at an event in Washington, D.C.
