Polls are open for early voting in the state’s primary. The Texas primary in particular holds high stakes for the Democratic and Republican nominating contests: 252 Democratic delegates and 155 GOP delegates up for grabs.
Election officials are bracing for a high turnout in this year's primaries since presidential election years tend to draw the most voters. Early voting ends Feb. 26.
