Rashad Owens Sentenced To Life Without Parole For Deadly SXSW Crash In 2014

Rashad Owens was found guilty of capital murder today for the killing of four people in Austin in the deadly 2014 SXSW crash.

Owens killed four people, including a Fort Worth teen, when he accelerated through a festival crowd last year. Authorities say Owens was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

He faces a mandatory life sentence of life in prison with no parole.

The Austin American Statesman has been live tweeting and live streaming the trial, which began on Monday.
