From The Newsroom: Southwest Resolves Tech Issue; Game 4 For Texas Rangers

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: Technical issues that caused flight delays for Southwest Airlines yesterday were expected to continue today. The Dallas-based carrier advised travelers to arrive two hours early, but it seems that the technical issue has been resolved. 

Here's a statementfrom Southwest: 

Today we are expecting the technical systems that power our Customer Service to perform normally. Teams worked throughout the night in advance of our first departures to ensure the smoothest operation of our originating and later flights.

Also, UT Austin students sound off on a new law enabling campus carry. UT Chancellor William McRaven will be on Think today to talk about it.

This week’s edition of Vital Signs explores the veracity of new study linking obesity to early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease.

And finally, the Rangers go on to Game 4 against the Toronto Blue Jays this afternoon at 3.
