From The Newsroom: A Star-Studded Graduation; T.D. Jakes On National Issues

The George W. Bush Presidential Center

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, took center stage last night at the Bush Institute. They were on hand to honor the new graduates of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program.

And today's Friday Conversation focuses on megachurch pastor T.D. Jakes. He talks about some of the national issues he's had to address with his 30,000-member congregation.

You can listen to North Texas stories weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.

Former KERA staffer Krystina Martinez was an assistant producer. She produced local content for Morning Edition and KERANews.org. She also produced The Friday Conversation, a weekly series of conversations with North Texas newsmakers. Krystina was also the backup newscaster for the Texas Standard.
