The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: The Dallas city council today will debate whether or not to impose an outright ban on disposable shopping bags. If approved, this would be a departure from the city's current 5-cent fee on disposable bags. 

Also, a Dallas father with a science background is investigating autism after his son's symptoms began to change.
