The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: Yesterday’s severe weather brought anywhere from 5 to 10 inches of rain in some parts of North Texas. Today, areas of the region face clean-up after tornadoes touched down in Denton and Van Zandt counties.

Also, Saturday’s municipal elections brought upheaval in Arlington. The city elected a new mayor, ending Bob Cluck’s 12-year run.
