From The Newsroom: Garland Shooting Investigation; A Look At Sarcoidosis

The top local stories from the KERA Newsroom: Local and federal law enforcement are investigating a shooting that occurred last night near a Garland school district facility. A contest for the best cartoon depiction of the Prophet Muhammed was being held there.

Also, a recap of Friday’s late night Dallas school board meeting. Trustees did not oust Superintendent Mike Miles, but there was talk of a plan of succession.

Dallas city councilmember Scott Griggs is being investigated for allegedly coercing a public servant.

And finally, a closer look at a chronic inflammatory disease called Sarcoidosis in this week’s Vital Signs.
