The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: A last-ditch appeal to keep 'Texas 7' prison escapee Donald Newbury from execution has failed. In Stephenville, 800 people have been summoned for jury duty. It's all for the murder trial of a man accused of killing Chris Kyle.
