Dallas, TX – The Texas Workforce Commission is moving to revoke approval for all ATI-owned schools in Texas. That includes 7 Career Training Centers in North Texas. KERA's BJ Austin reports.

ATI Career Training Centers are located in Dallas, Richardson, Garland, Lewisville, North Richland Hills and Waco. That also includes the Dallas Nursing Institute. The Workforce Commission has put the schools on notice their Certificates of Approval for career schools and colleges in Texas are going to be revoked.

A review found ATI failed to meet Texas Education Code standards, including documenting graduation rates. The review also found that ATI failed to place the required 60% of its graduates into training-related jobs.

A spokesman for the Texas Workforce Commission says "students invest large amounts of money and time to train for a career. We must ensure that schools don't take advantage of them with inaccurate data and claims."
