Dallas, TX – The Dallas-Fort Worth area now has the highest concentration of official "Texas Paddling Trails" in the state. Parks and Wildlife officials dedicated seven new, recommended trails for canoe paddlers and kayakers today.
Phil Montgomery, a former Texas Parks and Wildlife Commissioner, joined the kickoff for the Dallas Trinity Paddling Trail - at the Sylvan Boat Ramp near downtown.
Montgomery: And it's very easy and very accessible to use for people all throughout the urban area who want a half-day, full-day experience close to their home.
Montgomery says the paddling trails offer North Texans and tourists a unique nature experience in the middle of one of the largest urban areas in the nation.
