Dallas, TX – Arlington Police are investigating two crimes that took place at the Dar El-Eman Islamic Center last weekend. Police want to know if they are related and whether they are hate crimes.
Tiara Richard from the Arlington Police Department says the first incident occurred Friday.
We were first notified that they had graffiti that's been spray painted on the parking lots of the facility there that appeared or could be conceived as being very explicit and possibly derogatory.
The second incident Sunday involved a fire that damaged playground equipment. Police suspect arson but do not have a suspect.
The Arlington Police and Fire Department, have asked the FBI for help.
