Dallas, TX – Even before the recession hit a year and a half ago, 25 percent of Texans had no health insurance. Since then unemployment has risen and now thousands more find themselves with no coverage and limited money for care.
It's a stressful situation for many families.
During an hour-long program, "Affordable Healthcare," KERA's Shelley Kofler and a panel of experts explored options for medical and dental care through North Texas' public hospital networks, charitable clinics and other organizations.
The experts answered questions from listeners who called or emailed.
