Dallas, TX – Today Dallas celebrated a milestone in the building of the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge over the Trinity River. Saturday the final piece of the 400-foot tall arch was lowered into place. Mayor Tom Leppert says the signature bridge will help define Dallas' landscape.
Leppert: "Dallas and North Texas clearly were willing to invest in the city and invest in themselves because, long in the future, this bridge, this arch, is going to be the foreground, the background of everything."
Construction on the $120 million bridge is scheduled to be complete in 2011.
