Dallas, TX – The annual Dallas City Arts Festival kicks off this evening but this year it's moved to Fair Park from the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Friends of Fair Park director Craig Holcomb says that's a good thing.

Holcomb: Fair Park was built for big, outdoor festivals and this is a big outdoor festival. This year we're centered around the Esplanade Fountain and the Automobile building and Centennial Building. In coming years we'll move out and be along the lagoon and Cotton Bowl Plaza, easily.

Holcomb says the seventh annual City Arts features more than 50 entertainment acts, including Texas guitar legend Bugs Henderson. Nearly 300 artists will be featured during the three day event. And it's FREE.
